We were hoping to be leaving this smog filled state by this summer, but now all the plans I made will probably be foiled :(. Note to self: I should know that military life never works out as planned....so stop making plans before official orders are in hand!! We were hoping to leave after the kids get out of school for the summer, take a long, leisurely journey back to the east coast...stop to visit friends, family and do some sightseeing on the way. Sound like fun, huh? Now, the way it's looking is that the kids will attend school here for a month or two and then we will have to rush to get to the east coast without stopping and visiting with loved ones.
My husband and I are planners.....something happens and we start planning and talking right away about what we are going to do next. After being attached to the Navy for 9 years now you would think that we would learn not to get so excited and make all kinds of plans. But we do it every time and the original plan is always the greatest...then BAM! we are re-planning and rethinking! Well at least now I can finish my BA before we leave here and even start on my masters, but now getting a job this fall is out....again. Oh the joys of living on military time!
